BSD Day 1 Recap

Yesterday was my Day 1 on Dr. Michael Mosley’s 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet (I am not diabetic or pre-diabetic). I’m down 2 lbs.

Since I was going to start on Sunday, I planned my menu on Saturday to ensure I’d be in the 800 calorie range. When I was satisfied with my menu, I emailed it to my accountability partner. On Sunday I planned my menu for today (Monday) and again emailed it.

Yesterday I got in an hour hike and 30 minutes of yoga.

Here’s what I ate on Day 1:

2 organic pastured eggs cooked in 1 tsp organic extra virgin olive oil. This kept me full until around 2:30 PM.

I packed up this lunch and headed to a museum. My salad included organic mixed greens, organic lime juice, organic guacamole, steamed wild salmon, and organic sesame seeds. I drank black coffee with lunch and had a few more cups in the afternoon. Also lots of water!

For dinner I had organic mixed greens, organic lime juice, organic steamed zucchini, organic cannellini beans, organic red onions, organic chia seeds, and a Stabilyze bar. These bars are delicious, super filling, and gluten free!
